Fixed Blade VS Folding Survival Knives

There are several various types of knives including fixed blades and folding knives. Fixed blades are generally better suited for big cutting tasks. The strength of the blade helps the cutter control the knife edge better, and the blade typically holds up better over the long term. Common fixed blade knives include full-length hunting knives, survival knives, fighting knives, and sashimi knives. Folding knives are more compact than fixed blade knives and quickly carried in a pocket for every-day-carry (EDC). The method of how the blade folds into the grip makes it a useful choice for smaller sized pocket knives.
