Our knives are manufactured from top quality materials:
Molybdenum-Vanadium (MOVA). It´s a classic steel in our Knives and folding Knives. A excellent combination of Molybdenum and Vanadium, with double heat treatment for 56-58 HRC, that is highly stain resistant, though and particularly resistant to corrosion. Maintain their sharpness for a long time and it is easy to sharpen.
BHLER N690 Cobalt. N690 hler Steel is extremely fine grained creating a blade that will retain its sharpness when subject to periods of use. By adding cobalt, an extremely unusual alloying element, the steel creates an uncommon uniformity providing a fine and consistent edge, enhancing edge retention and sharpening receptivity. Hardness range of 59-61 HRC.
SANDVIK 12C27. Sandvik’s most well-rounded knife steel with excellent edge performance allowing razor sharpness, high hardness, exceptional toughness and good corrosion resistance. With a hardness range of 54-61 HRC, it is the recommended grade for bushcraft knives.
MICARTA. It is a durable knife handle material made from layers of various materials like paper, canvas or linen and held together by a epoxy resin at very high pressures and high temperatures creating a material highly resistant to shocks and corrosion. Another characteristic is its lightness and ability to withstand corrosion, humidity and extreme temperatures.
COCOBOLO Exotic Wood. It is a tropical hardwood of Central American. Because it stands up well to repeated handling and exposure to water, a common use is for gun grips and knife handles. It is very hard, fine textured and dense.
GRANADILLO Exotic Wood. It is hard and straight with a closed grain structure with a very beatiful effect. The density of the wood is very high.
Ancient OLIVE Wood. It is very hard, strong and durable. The age of the tree helps to create the unique grain patterns that make these items so individual: no two items fashioned from olive wood can ever be identical.
Our sheaths are manufactured with Handcrafted Genuine Leather, with an especially soft texture, perfect for storing and protecting your knife.
Our desings include multi-positioned sheaths (vertical and horizontal) and come with accesories as sharpener stone & firesteel.
About Survival Knives
When your life depends on them, survival knives are made for challenging scenarios. They are tough use tools and can be used for cutting, pulling objects apart, wood carving, self defense, and many other jobs. The JEO-TEC N29 Bushcraft Survival Hunting Camping Knife – MOVA-58 Stainless Steel – Multi-positioned Leather Sheath – Handmade in Spain can potentially be used as a survival knife in certain situations.
Components of a Knife
The main parts of the knife are the blade, hilt, grip, tang, and pommel or butt. The tang is the piece of metal that runs the entire length of the knife from pommel to point. The pommel or butt is at the back of the knife (end toward the cutter when held typically in hand).
Fixed Blade VS Folding Survival Knives
There are several different types of knives including fixed blades and folding knives. Common fixed blade knives include full-length hunting knives, survival knives, fighting knives, and sashimi knives. Folding knives are more compact than fixed blade knives and quickly kept in a pocket for every-day-carry (EDC). The method of how the blade folds into the handle makes it a useful choice for smaller pocket knives. Some folding knives have lockouts that help keep the blade in position when unfolded. This simulates a fixed blade while keeping the benefits of a folder. Lockouts are mechanical and can fail if intense pressure is applied to the folding knife blade.
JEO-TEC Knife Blade Care and Maintenance
JEO-TEC knives must be taken care of and maintained properly to maximize their useful life as a cutting tool. Attempt to keep the blade dry whenever possible. Blade upkeep consists of sometimes honing the edge with a diamond, whetstone, or grinder sharpener and rubbing the blade down with a light coat of oil. Double check that the edge is devoid of any nicks or chips and deburr any deformities.
Knife Laws and Bladed Weapon Carry Regulations
Lots of states, regions, and areas have policies about wearing knives and bladed weapons. Some of these weapon associated laws might apply to the JEO-TEC N29 Bushcraft Survival Hunting Camping Knife – MOVA-58 Stainless Steel – Multi-positioned Leather Sheath – Handmade in Spain. The laws depend upon things like the type of knife, how the knife is carried, the blade length, and the places where the knife is carried. When carrying a blade, there are a few basic guidelines you can follow.
Take care carrying knives concealed since this categorizes the knife as a concealed carry weapon (CCW). Some states have guidelines restricting particular things like blade lengths over 3 inches. For fixed blade knives, carry them on your belt when you are working outside, outdoor camping, fishing, or out adventuring in the outdoors.
For folding blade knives, again beware of carrying folding blade lengths over 3 inches hidden on your person. Look into getting a CCW license if your region or state mandates it. Knives which have assisted opening abilities or auto opening knives are generally restricted.
Take care carrying knives in places around government structures, schools, and public functions. Most special events like sporting events, county fairs, and performances do not allow knives of any kind and security will take them upon entry.
